My next bed will be feng shui friendly - if I get a raise

I was surfing around the web, who knows where I was exactly, or how I got there. It’s one of the things I love about web surfing and all the links from one set of information to another, one search term leading another unintended discovery, it’s a journey sometimes, and certainly not always a destination when I get on the web. Anyhow, perhaps I was in a google image search or something, when I came across this blog that caught my eye, then, I saw a picture of this bed.

feng shui bed

Okay, I love the unique look, at first glance I decided very cool! At second glance I realized that it is feng shui positive, so it’s good for energy too, okay, need that. Then saw the price is around 7-$8,000 - well, I won’t be adding that to my shopping cart anytime soon. Then I saw how the wood on the bottom of the bed is really close to the floor, oh I do love the design! And the way they have the pillow headboard attached with the loops, very nice! Wow, what would it take to make something like that? Now, it would have to be done right, can’t have a cheap knock off bed, that would certainly be bad feng shui for sure. Well let’s hope I get a huge bonus one day so I can get my bedroom energy flowing in a more positive direction!

Details from the blog I found the bed on:

Okay, everyone loves the bed. I found it just by googling “feng shui.” Hey, it’s only $7-8,000!! Here’s some more info on it:
The Mantra bed from FEG is an incredible design from Mauro Bertame. The Mantra bed was designed based upon Feng Shui principles. The low threshold and canopy not only look great, but serve a purpose. The low threshold creates a grounding effect. The high arc canopy gives the comfort of a warm embrace. Those of you compelled to involve the Feng Shui principles into your bedroom may want to start with this beautiful piece. A better night’s sleep is not the only benefit of owning this bed. holiday gifts for me

Okay - enough with the emails, if you ant to get me something for the holidays, and a reminder to everyone, all I am doing is cards this year, I only want a few things. Please, no cheesecake, fruitcake, or any other sweets for that matter. Coffee is okay, or a little usb thumb drive would be fine. If you really want to spoil me I would love to have a digital picture frame and an iphone, but don’t expect me to return the favor this year. The chips have been down, and I simply can not afford to get everyone everything I would like to this year.

In fact, I would like to see every year become a time for handwritten cards sharing meaningful thoughts, that would be fine by me. You can always buy more expensive items for birthdays! :)

Online Classes Rock

I love the online class thing! My girl Deb Margret talked me into trying one class online and I must say, I love it! I am able to get my coursework 24 hours a day, and that means I can log on at the coffee shop get started, then go home and finish up there. This is so much better than driving through traffic, dealing with parking,  and being stuck on a several hour schedule with everyone else at the same time. Now if I can just find a study partner to chat with at 4am.

My first hockey game

I got invited to a hockey game and wasn’t really looking forward to it, but I agreed since I didn’t have to drive. We arrived, dealt with a long walk to get to the arena, and it seemed like forever to walk around and get to our seats, but it was worth it! I had no idea they did so many different things during the hockey games, I had only seen some hockey on TV and it seems pretty uninteresting on the boob tube, but when you are actually there you all kinds of other things going on. I enjoyed the videos on the big screen, the band that played in between, even the ice skating cheerleader girls were fun to watch. I almost got a free t-shirt they threw into the crowd but it was just out of reach. I did get to see a couple of little fights and scuffles throughout the game, and I think I will have to go to some more before the season is over!

Big thanks to Stephanie for talking me into going!

Dating and the internet

Have been solicited many times over and over to join a dating website of some kind. One thing I found is that most people do not look anything like the picture they put up and in some cases are not even the same person as the picture they use on thier profle, and this in my opinon is not the way to start off a relationship of any kind. One thing I reccomend to everyone out there looking to start dating is be honest about everything, always. The last thing anyone wants from thier partner is to be lied to. My advice to anyone trying to find that perfect match online is to take it slow make sure you see the person on webcam before ever meeting htem and always meet them in a public place that has alot of people should you want to meet, with the idea that you both are not going anywhere else other than that place.
